Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Short version: most tools run entirely in your browser, so what you type usually never reaches us. Here are the details.
In-browser processing
The majority of our tools process your input locally in your browser using JavaScript. Text you paste, numbers you enter, and files you load into a client-side tool are not uploaded to our servers and are not stored by us. When a tool genuinely requires server processing, we state that clearly on the tool’s page and delete any uploaded data promptly after processing.
What we collect
- Basic analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used and how the site performs (for example, page views and aggregate, anonymized usage). This helps us prioritize improvements.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages for security and reliability.
- What we don’t collect. We don’t require accounts, and we don’t ask for personal information to use a tool.
Local storage
Some tools offer to remember your preferences or recent inputs using your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device, and you can clear it any time through your browser or the tool’s “clear” option.
Cookies, advertising, and third parties
We currently run no advertising. If and when we introduce ads or third-party analytics, those providers may set cookies or use similar technologies, and we will update this policy with the specifics and any consent options required in your region. Our Advertising Policy explains how ads are placed.
Children
HIFreeTools is a general-audience utility site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can use most tools without providing any personal data, block cookies in your browser, and clear local storage at will. For questions or data requests, email support@hifreetools.com.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
